  Dr. Crowther is a competent dentist. I have no complaints about the work he did on my mouth. However, whoever does his bookkeeping should be fired--immediately. I stopped going to him 8 months ago because I continued to receive past-due bills after nearly every appointment, even though I had supposedly paid in full at the time of appointment. Recently, I received yet another past-due bill that was labeled as "seriously delinquent." When I called the office, I was told it was for a hygienist appointment that I'd cancelled--in December--when I was diagnosed with severe bronchitis. I asked why I hadn't received the bill 8 months ago and was told I could disregard the late charges. Oh... Thank you very much! I told the person who answered the phone that their accounting practices were shoddy and had cost them a patient. She said they couldn't determine the exact insurance payment at the time of appointment, which is why I received (past-due) bills afterward. Bunk! I have not had one single problem with my new dentist--no "you still owe this much even though you paid in full at time of service and oh-so-sorry about that past due bill that was sent out several months after the fact."
